The Cabling Group has been named a Platinum Partner by Panduit, making it the only current holder of that status in Europe.

Panduit uses the Platinum Partner designation as its highest level of channel recognition. The award places the UK network infrastructure and connectivity specialist in the top tier of the supplier's European partner network.

The move formalises a closer commercial relationship in network infrastructure. According to Panduit, the designation reflects a long-standing partnership and The Cabling Group's technical standing in the market.

The companies said the arrangement combines Panduit's infrastructure portfolio with The Cabling Group's customer relationships and delivery experience. It will focus on network infrastructure projects for businesses seeking support across connectivity and related systems.

For The Cabling Group, the new status gives it a distinctive position in Europe within Panduit's channel structure. For Panduit, it provides a single Platinum-level partner in the region at a time when customers continue to invest in network and physical infrastructure.

The announcement also highlights the role of channel partnerships in the infrastructure market, where vendors often rely on specialist resellers and integrators to reach enterprise customers. In this case, Panduit is signalling that The Cabling Group will play a more prominent role in its regional approach.

Jens Holzhammer, Managing Director EMEA, Panduit, described the relationship as part of a shared commercial strategy.

"This partnership reflects our shared commitment to innovation, operational excellence and delivering long-term value to customers," said Jens Holzhammer, Managing Director EMEA, Panduit.

He also outlined the company's expectations for the relationship.

"By combining Panduit's industry-leading infrastructure solutions with The Cabling Group's technical expertise and market reach, we are well positioned to accelerate growth across the network infrastructure business. We are very proud to have them as a Platinum Partner," said Holzhammer.

Market position

The Cabling Group said the designation recognises the work of its staff as well as its history with Panduit. The company has built its business around network infrastructure and connectivity, areas that remain central for organisations upgrading offices, industrial sites and communications rooms.

Graham Smith, Managing Director, The Cabling Group, said the award would strengthen the firm's relationship with the supplier.

"We're delighted to have been awarded Panduit Platinum Partner status. This is a fantastic achievement that reflects the hard work, technical expertise and commitment of our team. Achieving Platinum status strengthens our partnership with Panduit and enhances our ability to continue delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions for our customers," said Graham Smith, Managing Director, The Cabling Group.

Panduit has a long-established presence in physical, electrical and network infrastructure. It says it operates in 112 locations globally, giving the partnership a broader footprint than a domestic distribution agreement.

That international reach may matter for customers with operations in more than one market, although the immediate emphasis is on the UK and Europe. The companies framed the relationship around supporting organisations seeking reliable infrastructure and a simpler route through increasingly complex deployments.

Michael Kemmerling, Business Director Central Europe North, Panduit, said customer demand was shaping the partnership.

"Customers today are looking for trusted partners that can help simplify complexity while supporting scalability, reliability and performance," said Michael Kemmerling, Business Director Central Europe North, Panduit.

He added that The Cabling Group's reputation had informed the decision.

"The Cabling Group brings deep expertise and a strong reputation in the market, and we are proud to strengthen our collaboration through this Platinum Partner designation," said Kemmerling.

The development comes as infrastructure suppliers and their channel partners seek stronger positions in markets tied to data centres, enterprise networks and workplace connectivity. In those segments, vendor accreditation can influence procurement decisions by signalling technical competence, training levels and closer access to a supplier's products and support.

Panduit said the Platinum designation is reserved for organisations that meet the highest standards within its channel framework. By granting that status to The Cabling Group alone in Europe, it has given the UK business a notable point of differentiation in a competitive market.
