IT.ie is investing €3.5 million, creating 50 jobs and opening a new headquarters in Dublin as demand for cybersecurity and regulatory compliance services grows.

The managed IT services provider plans to add the roles over the next three years, increasing its workforce from 60 to 110 by the end of 2029. The new positions will span technology, sales, marketing, finance and service delivery.

It has moved into a 12,000 sq ft headquarters at Dublin Airport Logistics Park, giving the business more room for staff growth and supporting efforts to win more customers in Ireland.

IT.ie is targeting turnover of €20 million by the end of 2029, up from about €11 million. The recruitment drive is being funded by what it described as strong organic growth.

The move comes as businesses face greater scrutiny over cyber risk and compliance obligations. Those pressures, along with the wider use of artificial intelligence in workplaces, are increasing demand for advice and managed services, according to IT.ie.

Growth plans

IT.ie completed the acquisition of Abacus Systems in 2025 and has now finished integrating the business under its brand. The deal added expertise in highly regulated and compliance-focused sectors and forms part of a wider plan to strengthen its cybersecurity and compliance work.

Management also indicated that further acquisitions remain under consideration as the company pursues its next stage of expansion. For now, the focus is on hiring, settling staff into the new premises and expanding services tied to cybersecurity, compliance and AI.

Eamon Gallagher, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of IT.ie, said the expansion marked a significant milestone for the business.

"The opening of our new headquarters and the creation of 50 new jobs mark a significant milestone for IT.ie. We are entering a new phase of growth with a clear focus on cybersecurity, compliance and AI-enabled services.

"As technology and AI become more powerful, we believe the most successful businesses will use them to enhance what people can do, rather than replace the human expertise and relationships that businesses depend on. For us, that means automating processes, not people - using the very best technology to empower our team and our customers.

"Our ambition is to be the most trusted technology partner for Irish organisations, helping them navigate an increasingly complex technology landscape, strengthen their cyber resilience, embrace innovation and meet evolving regulatory requirements."

AI and risk

John Grennan, Director of AI Strategy, said the company is seeing closer links between AI adoption and cyber risk. He pointed to the use of AI tools by staff within businesses, including cases where those tools may not have been formally approved.

"Artificial intelligence is driving business transformation at a level we haven't seen in decades, but with it come increasingly sophisticated, scalable and convincing cyberattacks. As businesses accelerate their adoption of AI, security and compliance are a cornerstone of AI governance, not an afterthought. Many employees are already using AI tools at work whether their organisation has adopted or approved them, often without realising the risks this creates for sensitive data. This expansion allows us to further build out our capabilities and support businesses as they adopt AI safely and securely," Grennan said.

Founded in 2004 by Gallagher, IT.ie provides managed IT, cloud and cybersecurity services to organisations in Ireland. Its latest investment underlines how mid-sized technology service providers are trying to capture demand from companies that need outside help to manage security threats, compliance requirements and the operational impact of AI.

All of the new jobs will come from organic growth rather than acquisition activity, although the company continues to assess deal opportunities.
